Our collection of global tea represents all the traditional tea producing nations with their signature varieties. Over the past 4000 years, the tea plant spread to each of these nations, where it took on a unique form and flavor due to the regional terroir, namely the local soil quality, humidity, altitude, and temperature. Caffeine naturally occurs in the tea plant, causing all traditional teas to have a naturally occurring amount level of caffeine. Chemical processes can be used to extract most of the caffeine from tea leaves, however we do not carry these processed decaf teas. We do, however, have a variety of herbal teas that are naturally 100% caffeine free. On the other hand, other traditional teas are naturally highly caffeinated. These create a sustained buzz that won't result in the familiar unwanted "crash" that often follows coffee.
Clouds and Mist organic green tea makes a lasting impression. Also known as 'yunwu', the subtle aroma that comes from its clear, golden yellow infusion is a compelling mixture of smoky, citrus and vegetal. Its earthy taste, reminiscent of sweet, roasted artichokes, is well-rounded, with a slight note of toasted pecans. Clouds and Mist is very structured in its flavor – assertive and smoky in forward body, and developing over time to a soft and buttery finish – making it a perfect green tea for morning. The curled leaves of this green tea are harvested in the spring from tender tea buds. This is one of China’s traditional imperial tribute teas. Clouds and Mist takes its name from the seas of clouds surrounding the peaks on which this wild green tea is grown, with USDA certified Organic farming methods. This tea brews well for three to four infusions.

Author: Katie I usually gravitate towards flavored green teas, but I think Clouds & Mist has officially converted me into a straight green tea drinker! There is a shocking about of flavor in this brew, very much like a roasted artichoke. Wonderful!!
