Caffeine naturally occurs in the tea plant, causing all traditional teas to have a naturally occurring amount level of caffeine. Chemical processes can be used to extract most of the caffeine from tea leaves, however we do not carry these processed decaf teas. We do, however, have a variety of herbal teas that are naturally 100% caffeine free. On the other hand, other traditional teas are naturally highly caffeinated. These ones create a sustained buzz that won't result in the familiar unwanted "crash" that often follows coffee.
The Capresso PerfectTea Kettle is a 48 oz electric tea kettle for heating water quickly. Designed for tea, it has 5 temperature settings to heat water at variable temperatures (100°F, 160°F, 175°F, 195°F, & boiling). Proper water temperature is one of the most important elements of brewing an excellent cup of tea, the other two being the steeping time and tea leaves themselves. Each of our teas comes with a recommended steeping temperature, to make it simple for you to get the best flavor from the leaves. The glass kettle body ensures that the flavor and integrity of your water remain untainted, unlike metal kettles. A slide-out drawer in the base contains a temperature guide for brewing different types of tea (white, green, oolong, & black). The cordless kettle lifts from the powered base, making it convenient for both right and left-handed pouring. Safety features include an automatic safety shut-off, to protect against dry boiling. Please note that this kettle is not intended to be used as a teapot for brewing tea inside.
