Tasting Notes:

Our Golden Pu'erh is hand-picked competition quality, loaded with golden tea tips. It brews into a superbly robust, earthy flavor, which is strong, while yielding a smooth full-bodied brew. This aged and fermented, darkest of tea types is as complex by its nature of continued aging, as it is in its history. Pu-erh hails from Yunnan Province in Southern China, where it was traded by horsemen for centuries before the Western world had ever heard of tea. Traditionally known as a cleansing, detox and slimming tea, many modern tea drinkers are turning to Pu-erh not only for its reputed benefits, but for its exquisite taste.

I tried, but the fishy taste just isn't, as they say, my cup of tea.—Gina
Love this earthy, yet smooth tea. I will definitely order more.—Sail
I got this tea for my husband, who needs a healthy dose of caffeine in the morning. It brews to a beautiful red-brown, and the leaves really are lovely. It tastes more like fish than either of us anticipated. When I say fish, I mean a sort of woody-fishy flavor. It certainly isn't bad, just fishy. We are going to try it with honey, because we are both intrigued, and both feel we could fall in love with this tea. But the fish flavor does give us pause. —Anna
I love pu'erh, I like the health benefits associated with it, and I like strong flavor. I tried this partly because it was competition grade, but also because I had been looking for an affordable 100% pu'erh tea. I think I always reach for bolder breakfast but this is delicious tea. Pu'erh may not be everyone's favorite but I think it should be!—Elle
