Our collection of global tea represents all the traditional tea producing nations with their signature varieties. Over the past 4000 years, the tea plant spread to each of these nations, where it took on a unique form and flavor due to the regional terroir, namely the local soil quality, humidity, altitude, and temperature. Each region also developed specialized methods of processing the tea leaf to obtain a particular taste and form. Shaped by the traditions of their culture, local tea masters are still developing and perfecting regional tea around the world. Explore our collection!
Caffeine naturally occurs in the tea plant, causing all traditional teas to have a naturally occurring amount level of caffeine. Chemical processes can be used to extract most of the caffeine from tea leaves, however we do not carry these processed decaf teas. We do, however, have a variety of herbal teas that are naturally 100% caffeine free. On the other hand, other traditional teas are naturally highly caffeinated. These ones create a sustained buzz that won't result in the familiar unwanted "crash" that often follows coffee.
From the hills of Sri Lanka, these gorgeous hand-twisted "spears" of young tea buds slowly unfurl into a stunning cup of medium-bodied, buttery green tea. These leaves can be re-steeped many times, with each cup just as lovely as the previous.
Green tea is rich in powerful antioxidants, and has been known to fight viruses and slow aging. Green tea aids in weight loss, reduces "bad" cholesterol, boosts the immune system, and is also associated with the prevention of cancer. Green tea is widely used as a natural preservative in food and cosmetics. It even looks fresh and healthy! Green helps overweight people shed excess fat without side effects. It may help modulate calorie and fat burning through the sympathetic nervous system, the adrenal glands and specific nerve chemicals. Green tea shows fat-burning properties beyond those explained by its caffeine content.

Author: Karen This tea not only looks like a twisted spear, it takes about 5-6 steepings to unfurl the spear and each steeping tastes better the last...buttery, sweet and utterly priceless...
Author: Mark This is the tea that just keeps on giving. I've never had a green tea that held up so well through 4 or 5 steepings. It tastes better with each one. Amazing spears.
Author: Laurie Kamm What a strange looking tea! Good thing it tastes more normal than it looks. This tin is a great value. You can resteep the tea leaves 3 or 4 times.
Author: Mary Quinn Amazing flavor for an organic green tea. Lots of complexity. It's really different with every steep. It may be an outcome of the twisted leaves that does that, the tea gets different as they open up. After 4 steeps, the leaves take up about 10 times the amount of space they do dry.
Author: Craig Rogers The first cup wasn't all that impressing but after several following on brewings I have to say its very enjoyable. Probably brewed to long on the first try. This is certainly one I'll put on my list to by again.
