Our collection of global tea represents all the traditional tea producing nations with their signature varieties. Over the past 4000 years, the tea plant spread to each of these nations, where it took on a unique form and flavor due to the regional terroir, namely the local soil quality, humidity, altitude, and temperature. Each region also developed specialized methods of processing the tea leaf to obtain a particular taste and form. Shaped by the traditions of their culture, local tea masters are still developing and perfecting regional tea around the world. Explore our collection!
Caffeine naturally occurs in the tea plant, causing all traditional teas to have a naturally occurring amount level of caffeine. Chemical processes can be used to extract most of the caffeine from tea leaves, however we do not carry these processed decaf teas. We do, however, have a variety of herbal teas that are naturally 100% caffeine free. On the other hand, other traditional teas are naturally highly caffeinated. These create a sustained buzz that won't result in the familiar unwanted "crash" that often follows coffee.
This legendary oolong is a cup of pure romance. It produces a beautiful jade colored infusion. The flavor has a natural sweetness, with lingering notes of Spring greens. The Iron Goddess is a Tie Guan Yin oolong from Fujian Province, China. Hand harvested and produced through a traditional process whereby the large tea leaves are very tightly rolled. This is the one of the most revered Chinese oolongs.
We named our tea for its origins, after Guanyin, the Buddhist goddess of compassion, for whom this style of tea is named. There are several versions of a legend dating back to the 18th century that tell of Guanyin helping a poor tea farmer discover the extraordinary tea plants and process which are now used to produce this tea. Buddhists believe that when one of their adherents departs from this world, they are placed by Guanyin in the heart of a lotus then sent home to the Western Paradise.

Tea leaves destined to become oolong teas are “bruised” to allow the release of some of the polphenol oxidase present in the leaves. Oolong teas are allowed to ferment for less time than black teas before they are heated and dried. Consequently, the catechin, theaflavin and thearubigin levels in oolong teas are generally between those of unoxidized green and white teas and completely oxidized black teas.

Author: Samantha I just tried this and I love it!! I wasn't sure how to describe it, but after reading the "taste notes," I totally agree that it IS a cup of pure romance. Definitely delectable!
Author: DJ New Moon One sip of this tea and I was hooked. This is a very impressive oolong--it is full bodied and sweet, just slightly floral, and like all great oolongs, it only seems to get better with a second infusion. Oolong lovers rejoice, we have a mind blowing tie guan yin on our hands!
Author: Patricia I mixed this tea with dark roast organic and the pu'erh and achieved a luscious tea that is sweet and aromatic. It can be steeped 3 or 4 times.
Author: Umbreona This is a rather remarkable tea. It has a pleasant scent while it brews and a bold sweet body rich with a very agreeable flavor almost like a BOLD green tea. Its aftertaste comes off the tiniest bit bitter giving a subtle nod to black tea and helping to balance out the entire flavor. If you like Oolong then you will NOT be dissapointed by a cup of this and if you are new to tea drinking this may be a nice middle of the road flavor to get you hooked.
Author: anne delano WOW! I had tried Oolong tea before and was unimpressed. I received a sample with my order of Boulder Breakfast and decided to give it a try and now I am hooked! The taste is very floral, it reminds me of honeysuckle.

Author: Heidi Casso This is one of my favorite oblongs. It has a delicious taste and I would definitely put it on as one of my favorites!
