  • Green tea is rich in powerful antioxidants, and has been known to fight viruses and slow aging. Green tea aids in weight loss, reduces "bad" cholesterol, boosts the immune system, and is also associated with the prevention of cancer. Green tea is widely used as a natural preservative in food and cosmetics. It even looks fresh and healthy! Green helps overweight people shed excess fat without side effects. It may help modulate calorie and fat burning through the sympathetic nervous system, the adrenal glands and specific nerve chemicals. Green tea shows fat-burning properties beyond those explained by its caffeine content.

Based on the reviews and prior, well-established fondness for Jasmine Pearls, I was prepared to prefer pearls over... not exactly swine, but who wouldn't prefer the fancier presentation if given a choice? Both teas are equally nice. I think it depends on mood and occasion which you will prefer. Each offers up a completely different universe. Petals is the more the tea one expects if one has drunk jasmine green before. It brews up a vivid orange-gold -- darker and slightly less clear than the Pearls. Matching the greater depth of color, Petals provides a denser liquor, wields more heft, is more perfume-y, and you notice the green grassiness much less than you do with the Pearls. It is less sweet than the Pearls. There is a bitter edge to the perfume that adds to the character of this tea. Because there is a narrow margin between characterful bitterness and bitterness you want to toss, I recommend a lower temperature (160 degrees instead of 175), less leaves (scant rather than heaping tablespoon) and shorter steeping time (1 1/2 minutes). I think Petals, with its elegant, sturdy backbone, makes a fine accompaniment to just about any meal in addition to being equally well enjoyed alone, whereas the Pearls' more delicate, sweet, and sprightly qualities would get lost if you drank it with anything else. —Sophie
This magical tea makes love to your soul. Just lay back and relax and let it tantalize you with its delicious jasmine green tongue. It is sweet and a bit bitter, the only way a divine lover should be. I haven't found a sweeter lover yet! Woohooo!—tealover
I love jasmine and green teas. Smells great. But I feel the green flavor is lost behind the bitterness. Not a bad cup of tea but I wouldn’t order the full size.—teanandme
I did not like this one at all!! One sip and I had to dump it. I'm not a fan of green tea and this one didn't change my mind!!—Kris
This is the first loose leaf tea I've ever had and since then I've been ordering it for years as a bedtime tea, and I'll continue to order it for quite a while.—Cern
I love the blend of this green tea. I am a green tea fanatic and this is one of my favorites because it has a subtle flowery taste.—gayle
I love this tea because of the floral overtones. If I had a garden I'd be having my tea time there. It's soft, no bite. Delicate. —Baroness Blossom
Love this tea in the evening served in my china teapot. Love the scent!—kat
This tea is a must to keep on hand at all times as it mixes well with any of the organic green teas and soothes the mind & soul.—Kindness
This is a must to always have in stock. Mixes well with all green teas to give a hint of jasmine or steep alone for full soothing affect.—Kindness
You can spend more of your money on Jasmine tea but you are not likely to find a better every-day tea. The ethereal floral scent is offset by the earthy flavor of a complex green tea, that reveals new characteristics with every steep. —EtheJ
Not one of my favorites but it isn't that bad. It smells amazing. Its soft and floral but delicious. This was one of my husbands choices.—Ritta A.
While stronger than the pearls, this is still a wonderful tea to add a touch of jasmine flavor or any other blend or to have a cup of it straight!—Coral
I'm a big fan of jasmine tea, but I'll be sticking with the pearls. This tea tasted like perfume! If you love strong, flavored tea, you'll probably like this. I enjoy a strong cup of tea, and spiced chai blends, but this was just too sweet.—Szwik
I was introduced to Jasmine Tea by my friend, so I had to try this one. I love it and so I gave some to my friend and so did she... It has a nice aromatic delicate flavor to it hot or cold. I will be making this a regular in my house. —D McCraw
My friend introduced me to Jasmine tea. So when I saw this tea, I knew I had to try it. I love it. I gave a bit to my friend to try and she loves it too. It has a delicate taste :) I will be having this regularly in my house from now on—D McCraw
I received this with the Ice Tea Sampler. It is pretty to look at but the taste is not for me. A little bitter (yes, I followed steeping directions) and not appealing to me to consume flowers like this. I guess my tastes are not refined when it comes to floral teas. I do like some herbal teas.—Janice
I really enjoy green tea, and this tea isn't bad. Although for me for the scent was too strong for me to enjoy it. I feel like I'm drinking potpourri. —Amy
When my girlfriend is indecisive about what tea she wants, I brew her a cup of this. The scent of jasmine is positively dreamy!—Kyra
I love the nose of this tea. It smells like summer. The clean, bright green tea is beautiful. Definitely a tea to linger over. The green tea leaves are a bit small, so be sure to steep in an infuser with tiny holes.—CJ
I received this delicious tea as a sample when I first discovered The Tea Spot. It won me over and probably within a day or two I found myself ordering my own supply. I just ran out and I'm ordering some more. Definitely one of the best green/jasmine teas I ever drank! Highly recommend it to anyone. —Liz H.
I love jasmine tea, was excited to try this one. The jasmine petals make the tea smell even more wonderful. I like it either hot or iced. Good tea overall.—nerualo
I'm not a fan of "flowery" teas. I wasn't thinking when I ordered this one. I should have tried a sample first.—Kathleen Rocco
This is so smooth for a green tea. Nice touch with the big flowers Teaspot. Your teas are the prettiest I've ever seen!—Mandy L
love love love this tea!!!—Adele M
