Blender's Notes:

Our Lady Lavender has her roots in Earl Grey tea with a sprinkle of lavender, vanilla, orange peel, & other citruses. One hot cup will whisk you away to a relaxing day at the spa or romantic getaway en Provence. There's a lot more to this tea than bergamot, lavender and black tea. If you enjoy a sweet, well-rounded, and full-bodied Earl Grey, but long for a little lift and a twist, then Lady Lavender may be your gal. Her black tea base provides a nice background that doesn’t attempt to overpower the other flavors. The citrus notes are perfectly tart while the vanilla adds a nice creamy sweetness, and the lavender notes pick it up a notch, awakening your senses. You should also try Lady Lavender on ice. This lady isn't shy in the cold - in fact, you'll likely find that's where she shines.

  • Black Tea is known to banish fatigue, stimulate mental powers, and raise energy levels. It has been shown to reduce stress hormone levels and acts as a nerve sedative, frequently relieving headaches. Black tea contains a number of vitamins considered essential for maintaining health, including Carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, has antioxidant and protective properties, Vitamin B1 and Panothenic Acid, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6.

Black Tea also contains antioxidants which may help to protect your body from the ravages of aging and environmental effects. Because they are allowed to ferment completely before drying, most black teas are especially rich in those polyphenols which have been shown to be effective against dementia in aging as well as AIDS related dementia. These compounds penetrate the blood brain barrier and have also been found to reduce blood cholesterol levels.

Black tea is known for its antiviral and antibacterial properties. It can be topically applied to cuts, bruises and burns, and is famous for its sunburn relief and has been shown to have a positive effect on preventing tooth decay and gum disease.

This tea is really wonderful! You can really taste the vanilla and citrus notes, but they are subtle enough to not overpower the tea. Definitely my new favorite!—Shari Tiilikainen
Lady Lavender is lovely. I found it to be a very smooth taste, with the black tea, lavender, citrus and vanilla blended together just right. —Holly
I've been obsessed with this tea since receiving it for mother's day. My favorite by far!—Jamie
I'm not normally a review person but I just had this at a coffee shop and came online to buy it after finishing my first cup. not kidding. it's that good. steep it with a little honey. love in a cup.—KKerm
I usually drink herbal tea but decided to reach out of my realm a little. I couldn't be happier with Lady Lavender. It is wonderful hot or cold, which I have only a few teas I can serve either. It is a rich flavor, but not over powering with a soft after taste. I am thrilled with my out-of-the-box experience and I'm here to order more :) With summer approaching, I look forward to starting my busy days with a cold glass of Lady Lavender.—Ash
This is definitely one of my new favorite teas! I tried it because I love earl of grey. It has a wonderful aroma and it is a perfect way to start or end my day. It tastes wonderful hot or cold; with cream and honey or all by itself. The citrus hints are perfect and the vanilla is an awesome addition, Thank you again for a great product!—Javm rn
I can't handle bergamot but this was quite smooth and really enjoyable. —Rachel
I love all things Lavender so I had to try this tea. I love this tea. It's a light and lovely flavor. It's a great balance of black tea and lavender. I wish it had less caffeine but I will keep drinking this tea because of the lovely lavender flavor. —Bad Bunny
Hi, this is Sophie again. I forgot to mention that if you opt to make this iced, you can infuse for longer times and the brew will not go bitter on you. I was also able to get two very nice second and third infusions. The sweetness level does increase the more times, and the longer you infuse. If, like me, you don't like sweet tea, just add lemon slices. This is an incredibly refreshing beverage for the dog days of summer.—Sophie
I'm not big on flavored teas, sweet teas, or Earl Grey. So when I got a free sample of Lady Lavender with an order about a year ago, the packet ended up on the bottom of my tea drawer with a sigh... Finding it lurking there still, my only thought, quite honestly, was brew it up to be rid of it. Was I ever in for a surprise. The lavender, orange and vanilla notes send this tea soaring. They are a perfect match for the bergamot and underlying black tea. Sweetness is a significant part of the flavor profile but in this tea not the least bit cloying or nauseating (one of my biggest beefs against traditional Earl Grey). All flavor notes are forthcoming and assertive. You feel like you are walking through a garden in full sun. The fragrance of the brew and the way the perfume of it remains on the tongue long afterward put the experience of sipping this tea in a special category not many achieve. The hot version is splendid but I agree with the Blender that it becomes even better iced. I was noticing that the sweetness and intensity of flavor dialed up as the brew cooled so I stuck a few ice cubes in and sha-ZAM! Home run all the way. This gal's got it! —Sophie
I work in a spa that carries several varieties of The Tea Spot's teas and I immediately went home and ordered myself a pound of Lady Lavender after I tried this product. The smell of the leaves when they're dry is absolutely incredible. When you brew a cup, this amazing vanilla, floral scent fills the room and makes my mouth water. After the steep, I can't wait for my first sip! My order isn't here yet so I'm agonizing with sub par tea until my shipment arrives!!!—KatharinetheGR8
I love Earl Grey teas and am always trying new ones. Lady Lavender is a beautifully composed variation on the Earl Grey theme. Similar to the Tea Spot's Earl of Grey tea but with a pronounced lavender note that gives the tea lift and floral notes.—Tea Lover
Delightful tea. Creamy and light with the added yum of Earl Grey —Andrea
I made this tea this evening using 2 tsp per 8 oz of water, brewed for 5 minutes. 1. Because I like really strong bold tea 2. Because I never follow directions. I had to add 4 more oz of water, maybe could have added another 4, but like I said I like strong tea. Try this at the recommended amount first before you experiment. I added 2 teaspoons of our honey and half and half. We normally both use a lot of H&H. With this tea I added a bit more. Definitely experiment with the honey and H&H or cream in small increments. And nuked it super hot, the flavor was better that way. This tea did not disappoint. The aroma when the water hit it was instant, beautiful smell. WOW. The entire kitchen smelled like desert was brewing. It is very strong in flavor, a bit bitter and you can really taste the lavender. The lavender is a touch overbearing, but if you make it a bit weaker it is better. This leaves an aftertaste with the honey and H&H. I had to brush my teeth. It is an earl, with a punch. I think this is better as a desert tea and not a morning tea or evening boost. tea. If you are craving something sweet this is your ticket if you add honey. This will become a staple in our pantry.—Biblio Ninja
Added this to my cart at the last minute and so glad I did! I love just holding my cup and breathing in the scent before sipping. Although the scent is amazing, the flavors blend together well and do not overpower. Will definitely keep this stocked in my tea cupboard!—Patti
I tried this as a sample & fell in love with it. I have now ordered more to take to work & have given up coffee. I love the smell & vanilla taste.—Nicole
I tend to serve this one iced when we have guests and I haven't found a person that doesn't love it. It's a bit like Earl of Grey, but is sweeter and more refreshing. I love the lavender and the bit of fun it adds.—GoPete
I received a free sample of this tea and was bummed at first because I didn't think I would like it....boy was I wrong! It was my favorite of all the teas I ordered. I will definitely buy this tea on my next order and I would suggest everyone give it a try!—Lauren
It took me a while to get the right amount for my taste but once I found it, it was like Nirvana. I love the aroma and the delicate blend of the flavors. None of them overpowering the others. Lavender is one of my favorite scents and has now become one of my favorite teas, hot and cold—D McCraw
    Love this tea!—Anton
This tea is super with a nice floral under tone. I love how light in body it is, yet keeps the dark richness of black tea.—Hafeza
I love to make a tea latte with this, some frothed milk, and a bit of honey or agave nectar. It's a perfect treat.—Kyra
I buy a pound every three to four months ... my go to in the morning to start the day to wake up and also calming at the same time.—My Favorite
Lady Lavender has become one of my favorite teas, especially on rough/stressful afternoons. The caffeine in the black tea provides a little pick-me-up, and the scent of the lavender is very calming. I like it unsweetened, but also with a little sugar and, when I'm feeling indulgent, a small splash of cream. —Anna
This tea is by far my favorite Earl Grey iteration that I have ever tried. I usually prefer Lady Grey blends to straight Earl Grey, but this is by far the best Lady Grey blend I have ever tried. It is also lovely to look at as dry leaf. It is beautiful both on the tongue and on the eyes.—Jen
My girls and I like this tea for the mornings on the weekend. Gives us a good lift to start the day with calm focused feel so we can enjoy the beauty of the world around us. Tastes wonderful hot, warm and cold. No matter what the weather outside this is a great way to start the day.—calm up beat day
Hands down the best tasting tea. loved the fragrance, the smell, its just addicting, can't stop drinking the tea!! The Teaspot has the best tasting i hsve ever had!—Sophia Loren
What a delicious new tea! Love it! Nice, gentle boost with the black tea, and I love the lavender, bergamot and citrus notes. I'm a regular Bolder Breakfast drinker and will definitely buy more of Lady Lavender. A new favorite.—Erika M. Schreck
This one is too strongly perfumey for my taste. I like the flavors, it's just that it's too much. I am using little bits of it to flavor my plain black and green pots of tea, which will work out well.—Kristina
Oh. My. Goodness! This tea is incredible! It's a little strong on the scent out of the bag, but once it was brewed and a little milk and sugar were added, it was heavenly. You can taste the bergamot more than anything else. I normally don't like citrusy or fruity teas, but I'll definitely be ordering a tin of this now that I finished the sample.—Ashley Veeck
This is my go to tea when I want to kick back and relax. Just inhaling the aroma is soothing, then to sip it, that's pure heaven. Subtle vanilla, lavender, orange and citrus are blended to perfection in this relaxing tea. It's just amazing.—Nancy Covington
This is my new favorite tea. It is like having Earl grey with lavender marshmallows!—Angel Mandell
