Each region also developed specialized methods of processing the tea leaf to obtain a particular taste and form. Shaped by the traditions of their culture, local tea masters are still developing and perfecting regional tea around the world. Explore our collection!
Caffeine naturally occurs in the tea plant, causing all traditional teas to have a naturally occurring amount level of caffeine. Chemical processes can be used to extract most of the caffeine from tea leaves, however we do not carry these processed decaf teas. We do, however, have a variety of herbal teas that are naturally 100% caffeine free. On the other hand, other traditional teas are naturally highly caffeinated. These ones create a sustained buzz that won't result in the familiar unwanted "crash" that often follows coffee.
Our newest herbal tea is a fascinating blend of herbs traditionally thought to restore energy, provide stamina, and increase vitality, inspiring its name... Vitality! It contains ginseng, licorice, peppermint, hibiscus, lemongrass, passion fruit, and St. John's wort. Vitality tastes great as both hot and iced tea. Long touted as a "restorer of vitality," ginseng can increase energy while releasing stress when taken regularly. Traditionally also used as an "aphrodisiac", ginseng tea is thought to be most potent when taken consistently over a period of time to increase energy and vitality.
Siberian ginseng contains remarkable compounds that favorably affect the adrenal glands, the small glands that rest atop the kidneys and secrete stress-fighting hormones. Taking the herb is believed to boost the body's capacity to handle physical stresses ranging from heat exposure to extreme exertion. Resistance to disease increases as well. So does one's overall energy level.
