  • Black Tea is known to banish fatigue, stimulate mental powers, and raise energy levels. It has been shown to reduce stress hormone levels and acts as a nerve sedative, frequently relieving headaches. Black tea contains a number of vitamins considered essential for maintaining health, including Carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, has antioxidant and protective properties, Vitamin B1 and Panothenic Acid, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6.

Black Tea also contains antioxidants which may help to protect your body from the ravages of aging and environmental effects. Because they are allowed to ferment completely before drying, most black teas are especially rich in those polyphenols which have been shown to be effective against dementia in aging as well as AIDS related dementia. These compounds penetrate the blood brain barrier and have also been found to reduce blood cholesterol levels.

Black tea is known for its antiviral and antibacterial properties. It can be topically applied to cuts, bruises and burns, and is famous for its sunburn relief and has been shown to have a positive effect on preventing tooth decay and gum disease.

This chai blend is absolutely fantastic. A great balance between the different spices. I usually like my chai with a bit of honey and milk, but this blend almost doesn't need a sweetener at all! It's great for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up. I'll definitely keep this tea on my shelf, especially as the winter months near. I did not care for their Bohemian Spice blend at all (I ordered both at once), so I'm relieved that this one is so wonderful.—Manda
I drink this in the afternoon when I need a pick-me-up. The flavor is wonderfully spicy--no sweetener needed. Also fullbodied enough to stand up to whole milk (if dairy is your thing) without being watered down.—tt crews
This has been one of my favorites and I look forward to drinking it every morning instead of my faithful cup of joe. The flavor is really fantastic, I love chai teas and this one did not disappoint. —KevinSTL
This is the best Chai tea I have ever drank!!! I am going to be a loyal drinker of this tea!!! It is delicious!!—Sue
I love Chai tea, and this is one of the best Chai teas I have ever drank, I will continue to order this!!!!—Sue
Smells and tastes amazing. I could certainly pick up on the clove, but it blended well with the other flavors.—Mary
This chai is amazing... who knew peppercorns would be so great in tea? One of my favs.—Lonnie
This is a good chai but I found the spices to be a bit too mild. It will be good for when I just want a little taste but not too much. Even though it's too mild for my taste it does have a lot of layers of flavor and would be good for when you want something light but with full flavor. Adding a little sweetener brings out some of the flavor as well.—Janice
I have become accustomed to the subtle flavors in this chai and it is my all time favorite. It definitely does not overpower but there is enough of a warming spiciness that it is perfect for a cold winter day.—Gloria
This chai is not at all what I expect in a chai tea but I think I REALLY like it. After a 4 min first steep, I found it far more subtle than most chais without the typical heavy cinnamon and clove taste. Nothing predominates but all of the flavors are there playing nicely together. It still had strong flavor with a 2nd 5 minute steep. Excellent tea. This one may be my choice to get me through the winter.—Gloria
I'm actually quite surprised I enjoy this one as much as I do, being that I'm not a chai drinker and not very fond of them. But this one is very good and not overly spicy, another plus is that my mother (whom it was purchased for) adores it. —Kilde
It doesn't taste like your average Chai tea (the common cinnamon latte type). Instead it's more of a charred tree bark with spices. Not as bad as that may sound, but you need to be very careful when brewing! First steep for me can't be more than 200 f for about a minute. Like all Tea Spot teas, the flavor is very 'clean' compared to most mainstream brands.—Steve
Chair is one of my all time favorite teas, and this has got to be the most satisfying chai teas I've ever had. Not only does it taste great, but it's so interesting to look at. Its perfection for all of the senses!—A King
Loved it! Definitely had the spice that I wanted!! —
This is a nice tea. Very spicy. Great for making lattes.—Angie
