  • Black Tea is known to banish fatigue, stimulate mental powers, and raise energy levels. It has been shown to reduce stress hormone levels and acts as a nerve sedative, frequently relieving headaches. Black tea contains a number of vitamins considered essential for maintaining health, including Carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, has antioxidant and protective properties, Vitamin B1 and Panothenic Acid, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6.

Black Tea also contains antioxidants which may help to protect your body from the ravages of aging and environmental effects. Because they are allowed to ferment completely before drying, most black teas are especially rich in those polyphenols which have been shown to be effective against dementia in aging as well as AIDS related dementia. These compounds penetrate the blood brain barrier and have also been found to reduce blood cholesterol levels.

Black tea is known for its antiviral and antibacterial properties. It can be topically applied to cuts, bruises and burns, and is famous for its sunburn relief and has been shown to have a positive effect on preventing tooth decay and gum disease.

Bears its name well as this staple, must have on hand tea can be mixed with most teas for a smooth tasting boost which is good either cold or hot.—Kindness
This tea is smooth and makes for a great breakfast tea.—Tea Lover
I wasn't sure with the Cocoa Notes but when I read other reviews I decided to try this. It was a nice surprise. Very Mild so great for an afternoon tea. If you take cream in your tea as I do, wait before adding. With this tea I don't use it as I have noticed with other reviewers. Great heads up to them. I prefer Russian Caravan to wake me up in the mornings but love this for a nice afternoon/evening tea.—Adrenn
I live in Texas so iced tea is pretty much the standard here. I like to make a pitcher of this tea with fresh cut mint. Pour it over ice and it's fantastic. You might think it's a little pricey but these balls can be brewed multiple times without sacrificing strength. —Beeftender
    very good for the night—allie
Just make this and wish I would of waited to put the cream in. Smooth tasting. Loved watching it brew, the pearls seem to come alive in the water. Would purchase again. —Sherry
This tea is superb. It has a very nice distinctive flavor and is very smooth. It leaves a mild mouthfeel that can be described as velvety. I love to watch the pearls unfurl when I first add them to the water. I will be getting more when I run out. I would definitely recommend this product. —Princess Ayla
Wonderful flavor, while my morning wake up is Russian Caravan I can see these Black Pearls being my alternate morning tea!—Carrie
These are the largest pearls I've ever seen. You literally only need 4 pearls to make a strong mug of tea! This tea is super malty. I'm diggin it!—Chris Fenwick
