  • Green tea is rich in powerful antioxidants, and has been known to fight viruses and slow aging. Green tea aids in weight loss, reduces "bad" cholesterol, boosts the immune system, and is also associated with the prevention of cancer. Green tea is widely used as a natural preservative in food and cosmetics. It even looks fresh and healthy! Green helps overweight people shed excess fat without side effects. It may help modulate calorie and fat burning through the sympathetic nervous system, the adrenal glands and specific nerve chemicals. Green tea shows fat-burning properties beyond those explained by its caffeine content.

I had never had matcha before, and I was slightly skeptical in trying it. But I am SO glad I did! I love this matcha! It's super smooth, slightly sweet, a little tangy. I cold brew it, and it tastes clean and healthy, in a good way (you know how some healthy stuff not this!). You will be happy with this organic matcha, I definitely am! I will continue to order.—Amber
I've been a Matcha drinker for quite some time now, and I love that I can order Match in bulk through The Tea Spot! I especially love that they're local, because then I don't have to wait too long. If you haven't tried Matcha yet, I definitely recommend this one! It's smooth and creamy! I love that Matcha is packed with so many benefits, like boosting your immune system, helping you focus, giving you natural energy, and how it's packed with 10 times the amount of antioxidants! It's incredible, and I'm very happy with this tea! Thank you Tea Spot! —Jenn S.
OK, I have tasted this tea and find it is a bit difficult to whisk up. You want it to dissolve and frosh up quickly - you don't want it to get cold while frosting. Taste is determined by the growing process, the more sun the more bitter. All young buds and leaves are bitter naturally there in lies many of their health benefits. The traditional growing process is to place a spaced bamboo roof over the tea plants while growing. This allows enough light to get through but limits the amount of direct midday sun from reaching the plants to limit the development of the chemicals which make the tea taste bitter. Some people like very bitter, some sweet, some smooth, this is preference and has less to do with quality. It should look bright green and not clump if it clumps then some moister has gotten into the container.—greeny
I love The Tea Spot's Matcha. The quality is fantastic, the packaging is perfect and easy to use, and the delivery time is fast. Thank you Tea Spot! —Melanie G
I'm super happy with this matcha purchase. It's well priced, super good, and seems to be a great quality. I'm basing this on the color, the fineness of the powder, and the pure, clean taste. I recommend this product.—Brandon
This is a lovely organic matcha for a great price! It froths up perfectly and has a nice sweet flavor. I also use it in my smoothie every morning for a little boost. Absolutely worth every penny!—Regina
I'm becoming a bit of a matcha freak. This one stands out in it's fresh grassy sweet notes. It's well-balanced, not astringent, and has a soft mouth feel. Yum yummms. Loving it!—Jane Pendergast
I found this to be extremely bitter, dull in color, poor quality. I’m glad I only ordered the micro tin. I won’t order again. Very much a low quality culinary tea. —Teridene
Love this matcha! For only being very slightly more expensive than the non-organic, I have to say this one is very worth it! It blends much better, doesn't leave any residue or spotty chunks, and is so smooth and delicious!—Miss N.
For anyone who has not had Macha it is a powder you whisk directly in the cup you drink from. It is not astringent nor does it tend to have tannin in it. This means it is less bitter and offending than some teas can be. It also tends to give a bit more of a kick than other Green Teas but never reaching the level of Black Teas. This particular Macha is pleasant enough, whisks up well, and smells about right but it is nothing particularly special. It is a great introduction to Macha. Personally, I wish Tea Spot would get Sakura Macha and Powdered Sencha as those are absolutely delicious.—Umbreona
Drink this tea everyday! It's so easy to make and tastes great! Definitely worth it —Kalyn
So let me start off by saying I tend to be very sensitive about bitterness and aftertaste, which is why there is a very large list of beverages I can't stand drinking. This includes lower grade green tea. This matcha is not ceremony grade, which given the price is to be expected. I find this matcha had a very strong aftertaste that I associate with low quality green tea. Which is a shame, because the initial taste was wonderful. If you find you don't have issues drinking most green teas, you'll probably enjoy this matcha. —Mandy
I drink a cup of Matcha every morning with a drop of honey! This tea keeps me going all morning plus the taste is so earthy. I highly recommend this tea who anyone who is a fan of Green Tea!! Definitely worth every penny!—Brenda
This Matcha is smooth and pleasant tasting. So much better than the less expensive one and I like that it is organic.—Gloria
    love it —Iris
