Silver Needle, Organic

Delicate & Hint of Floral

Product Rating:

Tasting Notes:

These sought-after organic white tea buds are cultivated in the Fujian Province, near Wuyi Mountain, then hand-picked at the 1st Spring harvest of 2015. Also known as Baihao Yinzhen, the silver needles name comes from the tiny silver hairs that coat the young tea leaves. The white tea buds steep into a light gold infusion, with naturally light floral notes of honeysuckle with a round body and clean aftertaste. The L-theanine in white tea encourages an alert state of relaxation. This is a tea to be sipped and savored, and a must-try for tea connoisseurs.

White Tea

  • Increases Mental Awareness and Focus, Calming
  • Most Powerful Anti-Oxidant, Anti-Aging
  • Calorie-free, Fat-free, Gluten-free, Extremely low in caffeine
  • Tea infused from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant is the world’s most popular beverage after water. The darker the tea, the more processing it has undergone, and the more processing, the more antioxidants are lost. White teas are made from buds and young leaves, which are steamed or fired, and then dried. The closest thing to fresh tea leaves, white tea retains the highest concentrations of catechin polyphenols, which research shows may help prevent cancer, lower blood cholesterol, and control high blood pressure.

This is a most elegant tea...—Henry
    it's organic, and delicious—IBS
This tea is exactly how they said it tasted. Very smooth and creamy it even makes your mouth relaxed waiting for the next sip. Just need to be in no big hurry to get the next sip. Very smooth after taste that makes your mouth wanting more. I am willing to pay the price for this delicious taste. Kenny.N—Kenny.n
Nice tea, soft and slight grassy flavor. Nice yellow color and a touch of sugar enhances the notes in the tea.Blend it with a pinch of 88th night and have a sweet mellow taste.—greg
Delicate and subtle certainly describe this one. I purchased several white teas to see which I preferred. This tea is not bad. Very delicate. Subtle, and light. I am not certain that my palate is sophisticated enough to appreciate the nuances promised. Others with a more fine tuned tea palate may find it delightful. So far, snowflakes and white peony are more to my liking than the silver needles.—CJ
I've tried and tried to like this one, but I just can't. I finally dumped it out on Tuesday. Maybe I got a bad batch (doubt it), but "hot wet plant" is the only way I can describe the flavor. Monkey Picked is a better choice!—Jaim
Been drinking this type of tea for years. Nothing is better for anti-oxidants and a clear head. Now, at first, you might wonder why there's barely any flavor, because it is very subtle!—Steve
The quality is great and well worth the price! It has a very delicate taste. I shared with friends who love great tasting teas and they loved it! Will order again.—Kimberly
