White Tea

  • Increases Mental Awareness and Focus, Calming
  • Most Powerful Anti-Oxidant, Anti-Aging
  • Calorie-free, Fat-free, Gluten-free, Extremely low in caffeine

Tea infused from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant is the world’s most popular beverage after water. The darker the tea, the more processing it has undergone, and the more processing, the more antioxidants are lost. White teas are made from buds and young leaves, which are steamed or fired, and then dried. The closest thing to fresh tea leaves, white tea retains the highest concentrations of catechin polyphenols, which research shows may help prevent cancer, lower blood cholesterol, and control high blood pressure.

Tasting Notes:

These sought-after organic white tea buds are cultivated in the Fujian Province, near Wuyi Mountain, then hand-picked at the 1st Spring harvest of the year. Also known as Baihao Yinzhen, the silver needles name comes from the tiny silver hairs that coat the young tea leaves. Not good

I was so looking forward to you getting this silver needles tea back in stock. I've been waiting 2 years. As soon as you sent the email that it was back I jumped on it. Alas, it is terrible! There are a lot of black leaves. It smells stale. It tastes stale. What a disappointment.

Thank you for your review of our Silver Needle tea. We are sorry it was not what you expected. Since tea is an agricultural product, the same tea type can have subtle differences, depending upon the growing conditions (ie. rainfall, sun, growing season), perhaps resulting in a flavor profile that varies sometimes more than others. We do QC all of our teas before packaging and selling. One of our customer service representative will be in contact with you soon to see if we can offer assistance. Thank you for trying this tea!

Whole leaf tea is good, but not in bags

I've bought this tea in whole leaf form and have enjoyed it. Recently I looked to buy some and the only silver needles that was available was in bags. So I gave it a try. The tea in the bags was all broken up. Many of the pieces were very tiny flakes. It just does not taste the same when it's broken into tiny pieces. Disappointing.

My first white tea, so maybe its just not my thing, but it just smelled and tasted awful.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Silver Needle tea. We are sorry to hear that this tea wasn't exactly what you were expecting. The white tea flavor profile is quite different from the black and green flavors. To bring out the delicate flavor of this prized tea, steep for 2 - 3 minutes with 175-degree water (boil water then allow to rest for 2 minutes). You can also experiment with the steeping times and the amount of tea added to each cup. We hope that you can find a method that works for you. We thank you for trying this tea! One of our customer service representatives will be in contact with you to offer assistance.
