These pure white tea leaves from China steep into a light-yellow, smooth liquor and impart only the lightest buttery sweetness with a slight apricot fragrance. Tea infused from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant is the world’s most popular beverage after water. The darker the tea, the more processing it has undergone, and the more processing, the more antioxidants are lost. White teas are made from buds and young leaves, which are steamed or fired, and then dried. The closest thing to fresh tea leaves, white tea retains the highest concentrations of catechin polyphenols, which research shows may help prevent cancer, lower blood cholesterol, and control high blood pressure.

Author: Adrian V Super-fresh, full leaves. I get 4-5 steepings from them. The flavor has good character too. It is sensitive to being overbrewed though..
Author: Dan Rogers One of my new favorite teas by TeaSpot! This is a beautiful white peony and similar to the base tea that TS uses in their Meditative Mind. Adjectives that apply here are soft... buttery... mildly sweet. I was able to get 4 good infusions out of the same leaf so this is a tea that you can drink all afternoon.

Author: Trina B. A tasty palate cleanser. It leaves my mouth feeling so fresh and so clean, with no aftertaste. yes, it's true, very soft & buttery, but at the same time cleansing. love it!

Author: Tea Spot Chef At first glance, it looks like I just placed a pile of leaves from my yard in my Steeping Cup but the hint of sweet aroma 'leaves' me believing otherwise...The liquor steeped resembles the color of honey and the taste leaves a buttery smooth feeling in my mouth...The other day, I re-steeped some of these tea leaves and made a tea-licious dinner, Coconut Curried Cod Infused with MONKEY-PICKED WHITE TEA served with Kale & Mushrooms sautéed in a sweet and spicy MONKEY-PICKED WHITE TEA-sauce...visit our blog, STEEP IT LOOSE, to check out the recipe... http://steepitloose.blogspot.com/2009/04/earth-day-why-organic-local-wild-fish.html

Author: Serena A very smooth white tea base provides a light and lovely premise for the hints of peach and even citrus. Where this tea really shines is in its amazing ability to stand up to multiple infusions. I always get three Steeping cup’s worth.

Author: Alicia I’ve tasted several White Teas, and this full leaf tea from TeaSpot is by far the freshest in flavor, with much more character than others I’ve had. The flavor of the white tea is a little difficult to describe, however it becomes more pronounced with each brewing. Be careful though, this tea turns bitter quickly if over-brewed! This is a wonderful spring and summer tea, and also brews up into a beautiful iced tea.

Author: Lisa P. Has no calories at all and is extremely light and refreshing. I am a bit partial to white tea because it is a lighter tasting tea, and I drink lots of it, mainly for the health benefits.
Author: Katie This tea is light and soothing. The fragrance is soft. It smells clean like cool, spring rain.
Author: David There is no bitterness at all to this tea. It is full of flavors but takes time and patience to taste them. It leaves you feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
Author: Lacey Super fresh, full leaves - So much so that you can brew them up to 5 times. I'd recommend only letting the leaves sit for 1 to 2 minutes for each brew, not 2 to 3 like it says in the instructions, but i like my tea really light! Does the trick and cuts my appetite really well!
Author: Mary Quinn I didn't expect such a great flavor from a white tea, but maybe it's because it's organic and so fresh. This tea is amazing! It's my new afternoon splurge... and amen to cutting the hunger pangs.
