  • There are a few lesser known health benefits. Peppermint teas can help to alleviate the pain of headaches associated with menstrual cramps. It can also help those with breathing troubles, like asthma. The smell of peppermint can open blocked breathing passages, helping with nasal congestion. Paired with a humidifier, or the steam of a hot cup of tea, it can substantially help relieve congestion.

Having a cup of this just opens up your sinuses. It's great—Thaddeus
I have an iced tea recipe to pass along. I was experimenting with herbal tea yesterday. I mixed 4 heaping tablespoons of Tea Spot peppermint to one of Licorice root in my sun tea jar. It steeped in the sun for about 5 hours yesterday afternoon and I put it in the fridge overnight. I take a half-gallon with me to work and keep a bag of ice in a cooler. I'm a wheat farmer and no matter how modern the tractor with enclosed cab you still breathe a measure of dust. The mint/Licorice root combination is soothing and snappy tasting...needs no sweetener. Cuts the dust (smile). —Scott
