Each region also developed specialized methods of processing the tea leaf to obtain a particular taste and form. Caffeine naturally occurs in the tea plant, causing all traditional teas to have a naturally occurring amount level of caffeine. Chemical processes can be used to extract most of the caffeine from tea leaves, however we do not carry these processed decaf teas. We do, however, have a variety of herbal teas that are naturally 100% caffeine free. On the other hand, other traditional teas are naturally highly caffeinated. These create a sustained buzz that won't result in the familiar unwanted "crash" that often follows coffee.
Peppermint leaves make a minty, refreshing drink that is highly satisfying both hot and cold. A native of the Mediterranean, peppermint leaves were often used to crown luminaries in ancient Greece and Rome. It continues to be revered for its naturally refreshing and invigorating aroma, a bit stronger and more peppery than its cousin Spearmint. If you have yet to try gourmet peppermint tea, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its superior flavor. The menthol aroma is a great way to wake up in the morning – even though it is naturally caffeine free.

Author: Milt Werner No need to add a dollop of honey to this minty gift to herbal elixirs; its flavor will blow you away. You will not find a better peppermint for the price.
Author: Scott I have an iced tea recipe to pass along. I was experimenting with herbal tea yesterday. I mixed 4 heaping tablespoons of Tea Spot peppermint to one of Licorice root in my sun tea jar. It steeped in the sun for about 5 hours yesterday afternoon and I put it in the fridge overnight.
I take a half-gallon with me to work and keep a bag of ice in a cooler. I'm a wheat farmer and no matter how modern the tractor with enclosed cab you still breathe a measure of dust. The mint/Licorice root combination is soothing and snappy tasting...needs no sweetener. Cuts the dust (smile).
