Tasting Notes:

Our Snowflakes is a pure, single-estate white tea. White teas have the highest antioxidant count of all teas because they are the least processed, and contain the lowest amount of caffeine. It is therefore the perfect meditative aid: it acts as a mild stimulant without causing insomnia or nervousness, working simultaneously to refresh and quiet the mind. Our sublime white tips have a soft, white downy coating and a clean, subtle, very refreshing taste with overtones of chestnuts. This tea brews into a light, yellow liquor and has the delicate aroma of fresh Spring flora.

White Tea

  • Increases Mental Awareness and Focus, Calming
  • Most Powerful Anti-Oxidant, Anti-Aging
  • Calorie-free, Fat-free, Gluten-free, Extremely low in caffeine
  • Tea infused from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant is the world’s most popular beverage after water. The darker the tea, the more processing it has undergone, and the more processing, the more antioxidants are lost. White teas are made from buds and young leaves, which are steamed or fired, and then dried. The closest thing to fresh tea leaves, white tea retains the highest concentrations of catechin polyphenols, which research shows may help prevent cancer, lower blood cholesterol, and control high blood pressure.

I didn't like this tea that much. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't for me. I personally needed to drink it with sweetener and that's not what I want from my tea. However the smell of it was divine!—Ritta A.
This is a nice tea, but a bit too mild for my taste.—Julie
As someone who has been drinking coffee for years and years and years (I would often put away several pots a day while writing), and also as someone whose Starbucks habit had reached junkie proportions, I was distressed when my doctor told me I needed to reduce my caffeine intake. I started to drink more tea, but I was used to drinking it with sugar or with honey. As I reduced my coffee consumption and increased my tea consumption, I started to experiment with more (and better quality) teas. And I found that as I developed my tastes, I appreciated different types of teas at different times of the day. Black teas or oolongs work really well for me earlier in the day, but as it grows later, I switch to greens and whites. (Which also, I discovered, make excellent iced teas to take to work in a thermos.) This one is a rather subtle white, not for everyone, perhaps, because it's very light and mild in its flavor. It's really nice to drink in the evening or late at night. And, since teas have far less caffeine than coffee, it's better for me and makes my doctor happy. (And since I no longer drink my teas sweetened, having developed a more discerning palate, it helps me keep in trim, as well.)—Simon
I am enjoying my first cup of Snowflakes this morning. My son chose this tea for today after smelling it in the tin and saying "mmmmm! honey!". It brewed up a perfect, beautiful bright yellow (almost like a green tea does!) with a wonderful honey-like aroma. Drinking this tea reminds you of a very gentle green. It's a very nice tea. I am currently comparing Snowflakes, Silver Needle and, White Peony to decide on my go-to unflavored white tea for the pantry. This is the first of the three, so I will compare as I go and update all of the teaspot fans!—CJ
Not quite as clean as Silver Needles, but it's the next best thing. Clean tea for a clean body.—Steve
I love the benefits of drinking white tea but to drink this one and "fall in love" is a win-win in my book.—desertteadrinker
This is the best tea for relaxation. One cup unwinds me better than a glass of wine!—Angie
Nice and light, second best of the whites I've tried, which is white wedding.—Gail
Good clean light taste, but for stronger (slightly anyway) flavor double the dose up to 2 tsp per 8 oz., same temp range, but steep it for much longer 8 min+. If you want to know what it will taste like just chew up a leaf and let it sit on your tongue for bit.—Jason
this tea also promotes weight loss. I've been drinking one cup of white tea everyday for almost a month, and i have dropped 6 pounds. see what happends is that the antioxidants in the pute white tea attack the fatty cells in the body while nourishing the others with much needed nutrients. so its a win win situation.—katherine wells
Lovely. lingering, delicate floral at six minutes. My first experience with white tea.—Marlena Amalfitano
I thought this white tea was ok but I enjoyed the Monkey picked white tea much more.—Jen
THIS is what I call White tea. It looks rather pretty and the tin would make a wonderful Christmas Gift. The tea itself smells rather pleasant and brews with a very delicate flavor. It has no real initial flavor. Instead it has a light, sweet, and pleasant aftertaste. I highly recommend chilling this tea and serving it as iced tea. On a Hot Summer Day these Snow Flakes really bring pleasant cooling relief like a tender chilled breeze over a dew covered green mountainside. —Umbreona
Yummy!! This tea is perfect to have at the end of a long day. It also is a great gift to give during the holidays.—Jenny
