Spearmint takes its name from its leaves, which resemble the shape of the blade of a spear; its leaves are long and serrated, and its flowers are slender spikes. Once known only as a cousin to Peppermint, Spearmint tea now stands alone for its unique taste and smell. While Peppermint is similar in many respects, Spearmint tea is more mild and less stimulating. Savored for its refreshingly light minty aroma. It is also naturally caffeine-free.
