Budding Products: New Functional Loose Leaf Teas

Simple Steeps’ by The Tea Spot: Boulder, Colorado-based tea purveyor The Tea Spot launched a new line of functional loose leaf fitness teas at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show Jan. 24-28 in Denver. The teas were formulated to support people who are physically active outdoors and come in single-serving packets.
“These botanical blends can help outdoor enthusiasts super-hydrate at the cellular level,” said Maria Uspenski, founder of CEO of The Tea Spot, via a press release, “and they’re each formulated to address a different energy need, ranging from ‘Rise & Chai’ for a caffeine boost to ‘Twilight Rose’ to help you unwind and renew. Plus, fresh brewed tea is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and key enzymes—perfect for outdoor adventurers.”

There are five blends in the collection:

Rise & Chai: A rich blend of pu’erh, turmeric and fennel jump-starts an active day.

Matcha: For those who want all of the great benefits of matcha.

Flat Belly: The hibiscus, licorice and mint provide refreshment during a day of outdoor activity.

Citrus Boost: This lemony green tea’s smooth taste comes through whether brewed hot or cold.

Twilight Rose: Its blend of chamomile, rose and peppermint helps one to relax after an active day.
