  • Tea infused from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant is the world’s most popular beverage after water. The darker the tea, the more processing it has undergone, and the more processing, the more antioxidants are lost. White teas are made from buds and young leaves, which are steamed or fired, and then dried. The closest thing to fresh tea leaves, white tea retains the highest concentrations of catechin polyphenols, which research shows may help prevent cancer, lower blood cholesterol, and control high blood pressure.

Perfect for when I am craving something sweet. I am diabetic, so I like the fact that it tastes like dessert without having to add any sugar. No hint of bitterness like the black tea dessert blends tend to have. —Jen
Wow, you weren't kidding when you said dessert tea. Add a little bit of raw honey, and this is hands down, one of the best teas I've ever tasted. Amazing!—Brigette Sumeraj
I sampled this one while searching for a replacement for Love Potion No. 9 that is gone and very much missed. *sigh* Although Candied Chestnut is white tea vs. the black tea of LPN9, it was worth a go. It's not a bad stand-in. I ordered more. I drink Candied Chestnut hot and cold. I like it both ways. As others have mentioned, there is an initial grassy thing going on, but I found that adding a smidge of sweetener cuts that completely. Honey, raw sugar, agave nectar, stevia. I've tried them all. The sweetener brings out the nutty flavor as well, and that's what I was looking for. It's no LPN9...but I like it. —jennchi
This tea is delicious. The chestnut flavor, the tea leaves, and the jasmine flowers are a perfect combination. I could drink this all day long. —Nar
Ugh. Did not like this tea at all. I'm a fan of most of the Tea Spot teas I've tried but not this one. The chestnut flavoring is very artificial tasting and completely overpowering. —MB
This wasnt what I expected. I was thinking it would be a lot more sweet. To me it is a little grassy tasting. It is drinkable but I wouldnt order again.—Leslie Moon
This tea had me at the first sniff. It is just lovely to drink and savor. I've tried many white teas over the years and this is absolutely my very favorite.—Lynette
OK, I have to say at first I didn't like this tea and I thought, wow, people are very creative with their reviews. After a couple of glasses, I am in love with this tea. It's not exactly like a slice of cake. It is however, very soft and smooth and not bitter at all. That's what I wanted in a tea so that I do not have to add any sugar! I ordered more than 15 samples of teas and this was my favorite choice. Very happy I gave it a chance.—Ritta A.
This tea is very tasty and relaxing. It does have a great wedding cake flavor and a very relaxing way of giving you a great night sleep.—
Very nice tea, love that hint of chestnut in the tea, I will keep this one around near Christmas time! Taste great with honey.—LorJ
By far my favorite tea. Like many others I enjoy opening the container and taking in the wonderful fragrance. Seems quite butterscotch to me. Have re-infused twice. Equally as good the second time. —parkprin
Mom, are you making pancakes?? That's what I hear each time I brew up a pot of this fantastic tea! The nose is heavenly -- and, this beautiful tea could be used as a room freshening sachet (if you could stand to waste any!). My favorite flavored white tea (Meditative mind is a very close runner up!). Oh, and this tea brews into a cold brewed iced tea very nicely. I add a heaped teaspoon to my Steepware Steep n Go cool brewing bottle and enjoy it all day. Just add more cold water to the bottle as the day goes on.—CJ
Another one I bought for the name. It smells delish. I liked it. I got it to try and for my son and soon to be DIL to try to see if they wanted it for their wedding reception. She said out of the bag it smelled good but brewed it didnt taste as it smelled. I was sad as I thought it smelled and tasted pretty good. Delicate and a bit sweet. Not like cake but a nice dessert tea. I would order this for special occasions. —D McCraw
Its my favorite. I love opening the bag up and catching that first, wonderful whiff of chestnut and sweetness. I think it is absolutely delicious and I like that I can drink it later in the evening because of the lower caffeine content.—JulieVee
This is a purely personal thing, but I thought this tea was just too sweet. The chestnut flavoring overpowers both the aroma and flavor of the other ingredients. Unless you normally like your tea with sweetener, I'd skip this blend.—Kyra
This tea reminds me a lot of the Coconut Cabana, but the nutty flavor is just of a different variety. Very rich, warm, soothing.—Corey
Love the hint of chestnut. the caramel blends well making it sweet, but not too sweet. Goes great with cupcakes and strawberry ice cream! :)—Randi
This smells amazing, I couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately, the smell does not match the taste. It smells like cake and tastes like hot water. —queennae
We bought this tea as part of a gift for my mom's bridal shower. All the ladies loved it! The flavors are subtle, and the chestnut is different than anything I've had before - it was so unique, I had requests for more!—Melissa
The best white tea I have ever tried. got to keep this on hand at all times!!! Awesome!!—Gail
I just ordered this white wedding tea - WOW! It is beautiful! Now I know what I will get my clients for Christmas 2013! Great Job!!! Thank You!—Kathie Johnson
Oh my... Celestia would approve. The first thing that hits you is how DELICIOUS this smells even before you brew it. The whole time you are thinking "It can't possibly taste like real cake!" but then you take your first sip and your mind is blown. This tea hardly requires any sweetening despite its lack of sugar. It is delicate and wonderful like biting into a piece of perfect white cake with a rich creamy frosting only to have it melt into your mouth. Forget getting fat eating cake, just drink this instead!—Umbreona
I'm not much of a white tea girl (I generally prefer oolongs) but I think this might be the best tea I've ever had!!! You can really taste the "caramel notes of roasted chestnut" and it's soooooo smooth!! I practically guzzled my entire first mug!—Christina Hope Loflin
Very disappointed in this after reading the reviews and description. Perhaps I prepared it poorly, but it did not have the wedding cake flavor I expected. Will not order again.—Tami Hannon
A good dessert tea. It smells like maple syrup, but the taste is more nutty & not so sweet. And it's named after a Billy Idol song ;)—Christy Jenevein
