DIY Soothing Herbal Tea Foot Soak

Soothing herbal foot soak

Winter time in the beautiful state of Colorado brings us incredible opportunities to partake in outdoor activities such as skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, hiking, and snowboarding. As an avid lover of the outdoors, I often notice that after a long winter season of keeping my precious feet cooped up in boots and thick wool socks, my feet need a bit of TLC. And this new DIY beauty trick to keep my feet healthy and happy involves tea!

One of my favorite ways to unwind after a day spent in the mountains is to treat myself to a soothing Epsom salt foot soak. Epsom salt, when dissolved in hot water, releases magnesium and sulfate which helps reduce muscle soreness, stiffness, and aches. Epsom salt is also a great anti-fungal and anti-bacterial remedy for foot odor and fungal infections so it’s the perfect detoxing ritual to say thank you to the most neglected but precious part of the body, your feet.

Foot soaks can be as simple as dissolving Epsom salt in hot water, and while this is a good option, creating a truly luxurious experience can be as simple as adding a few more ingredients that you already have in your pantry. This foot soak recipe expands on the nourishing qualities of our Gentle Tea Cleanse Kit by incorporating our Twilight Rose tea which contains anti-inflammatory herbals such as chamomile and soothing rose petals. We’ve also added a few drops of lavender essential oils to create a relaxing aroma and a spa-like feel. Give your feet a much-deserved break with this pampering Twilight Rose foot soak and melt into the moment of self-care. Enjoy!
