Green tea, like all teas, is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The leaves are picked, withered, and then heated to lock in the freshness, vibrant taste, and green color. Because of this very short processing time, green tea has a higher concentration of chlorophyll, polyphenols, and antioxidants than other tea types. For this reason, green tea has earned a reputation over the past 5,000 years for its health benefits.

Polyphenols are compounds that have been linked to a host of health benefits such as bolstering immune systems and reducing the formation of certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases. Polyphenols are found primarily in plants and notably in very high concentrations in green tea. WAYYYYYYYYYY OVERPRICED

So I've tried a couple of the tea's and there's no question the tea itself is quality. My beef lies with the price. I mistakenly read the product as having 6 four oz. containers of tea which seemed reasonable as I can order a pound of decent green tea from many different suppliers for around $20. When the product arrived and I found that I had received a TOTAL of 4 oz. of tea I was a little peeved.

I claim full responsibility for the mistake as the website clearly states "net weight 4 oz." but I guess I just didn't consider 4 oz. of green tea could cost $40. I'm sorry but I don't think I'll ever be in a situation where I can justify spending $40 for 4 ounces of tea. Unless maybe I was dying of dehydration, had $40 for some reason and was told the only source of water available was being steeped in 4 ounces of tea and would cost me $40.

Great way to try new teas!

I am still dipping into some of the teas for the first time, and have found them to be so tantalizing to the pallet! Trying to keep track of the taste memory so that I’ll know best when or with what foods to sip them! They are like fine wine in that way!
