Tasting Notes:
We've been searching throughout Yunnan for premium single-serving pu'erh cakes, and finally found a producer whose ripe pu'erh we admired so much that we partnered with them to make our own branded mini tea bricks. Each individual serving of this ripe (shou) pu’erh is pressed into small nest shapes, called “tou cha”, during the accelerated aging process. These are perfect for taking with you on the road or on the trail. When brewed, tuocha tea yields a smooth, full-bodied cup that has the wonderfully rich, dark, and earthy pu'erh taste. We chose these tuochas for their depth and slight sweetness. Each serving is individually wrapped in paper. Remove the wrapper before steeping. This tea retains its bold flavor through 2-3 infusions.

I am brand new to pu-erh tea and didn't know what to expect from a block of fermented tea leaves. This is my very first experience and I will definitely be buying a tin of these mini-bricks. I got two nice, strong cups of tea from one brick. The third cup was enjoyable but much weaker. This tea is nice and earthy - great body. But not bitter or rough at all. I didn't need any sweetener. This is sure to be a great morning tea for me!
This tea exceeded all expectations. Super smooth, deep flavors. Can't think of a better way to start the day! A must try.
I am a huge fan of ripe puerh tea, and collect a lot from different vendors, so I figured I'd take a chance on this one. I was NOT disappointed! And not so much because it tastes good, but more so because it has a its own distinct flavor. Many of your average or young ripes tend to have that common earthy compost flavor and not much beyond. But I am always looking for teas that take me somewhere different, and this one fits the bill. It's not necessarily my favorite so far, but the important thing for me is that it does taste good and is its own tea, worth stocking in my collection ! Nice job TS! Look forward to more cakes !
I use a 20oz infuser mug and I get two really good & strong servings from one mini-brick. It's a really good flavored sweet smelling tea. The Sun Dried Black from Yunnan is still my fave tho. This is a close 2tho.
I'm so in love with these little tea bricks. They are delicious, so deep and dark and velvety -- with a kick that's better than espresso. And they are so convenient, a generous single-serving brick that adds a little bit of joy to my mornings. I literally wake up thinking about steeping them. It's a new simple pleasure in life.
